I once fell in love with a Feininger piece called “Spook II” while the Phillips Collection was touring through Los Angeles. I’ve never been able to find a reproduction, but I’d scoop it up in a heartbeat. It’s similar to this one with bare trees and shadowed figures, but it’s also a bit cartoonish.
